Transmission System Operations Manager

The primary function of this position will be to ensure compliance with NERC standards and fulfillment of the Transmission Owner (TO) responsibilities in the PJM RTO.
In addition, this position will authorize all field switching activities, organize all personnel development and develop/maintain divisional procedures.
Lastly, this position will manage the operation and utilization of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA), the Energy Management System (EMS) and the Integrated Tools for Operations application (iTOA).
Position Requirements
We are seeking Bachelor of Science degreed electrical engineers with a minimum of seven years’ progressive work experience in the operation, construction and maintenance of electric utility systems with emphasis in a Control Center environment. Supervisory, administrative and SCADA experience are required. NERC and PJM Certifications are required.

Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative was founded in 1937. Through the Rural Electrification Administration, the co-op received a loan of $165,000 to construct 175 miles of line to serve 600 customer-members.
